Who Are We?
Smarterhaus Pty Ltd is an Australian company that has brought an architectural and engineering team together to create a 150m2, 4 bedroom modular home that is of high quality, contemporary, has the flexibility to have multiple design configurations and can obtain an energy rating of up to 7 stars.
Smarterhaus wish to take this model and not only provide it as a domestic housing product but also apply it to housing for mining, agriculture, tourism and public housing sectors which includes indigenous communities within Australia. Smarterhaus also intends on marketing this product for its use in disaster relief zones around the world.
What do we do?
Smarterhaus vertically integrates the supply of material/product, manufacturing, fabrication and transportation. Smarterhaus is able to either supply the product only i.e wholesale, or supply and construct our homes, anywhere in Australia. On the domestic front (residential housing), the construction of the homes will be undertaken by independent builders who will be a SmarterHaus preferred builder trained in the erection of the homes by Smarterhaus. We have the resource and capability of expanding production and implementation to very large numbers within a short time period.
We believe we have designed a home that is not only of high quality and one that includes energy efficiency innovations as standard, but one that is also affordable which is a rare combination in today’s market.
The homes are manufactured at our Malaysian factory, flat packed and shipped to Australia, warehoused and transported to site. Once on site the home is constructed in approximately 8 weeks complete. Renowned Hobart Architect Richard Crawford of Crawford Padas Shurman has designed the homes, and Jim Gandy from Gandy & Roberts Consulting Engineers has engineered them.
