The Chatsworth design

The central deck is the focal point in the design of the Chatsworth House. Ideal for flatter blocks where privacy from neighbours is important, the rooms are organised around the external deck which offers enclosure on three sides.

With sufficient consideration to the house’s orientation, the living spaces can maximise sun light penetration whilst the shallow depth of the plan encourages natural ventilation. When the large sliding doors are opened the deck becomes a extension of the living spaces and a communal space where the family can gather on sunny days, whilst still feeling the protective enclosure of the house.

Multiple configurations are available for the living, dining and kitchen areas to create a number of options for locating the front door whilst making best use of site specific views and sunlight.
