The Tarcombe design

The Tarcombe is a contemporary, open plan house, that separates the quieter bedroom zone from the public areas of the house.

The Tarcombe offers a thin building form which maximises daylight and natural ventilation opportunities whilst capturing sunshine and views from all sides of the living areas. This house is suitable for moderately-sized blocks with minimal slope.   There are four, comfortable-sized bedrooms, which are interchangeable as further living spaces. All bedrooms have built in cupboards and the master bedroom also features an ensuite. Substantial extra storage is provided in the centre of the house which also assists in providing a buffer between the living areas and the private areas of the house.

Multiple configurations are available for the living, dining and kitchen areas to create a number of options for locating the front door whilst making best use of site specific views and sunlight. The external deck is also available in a number of different locations to best suit the block and the owner’s preferences.

A traditional form roof takes a contemporary turn at the gable ends, as the thin roof line slices into the landscape with elegance.
